Our Purpose & Mission

Our mission is to serve families in Port St. Lucie and surrounding areas by nurturing children academically, spiritually, and socially, empowering them to grow in knowledge, character, and faith.

A PLACE WHERE FAITH, LEARNING, AND CHILDHOOD THRIVE TOGETHER.

This mission guides everything we do, from our faith-based curriculum to our nurturing preschool environments and rigorous K–8 academic programs.

At Dalton Learning Academy, Port Saint Lucie Christian Academy, Dalton Learning Center, and Darwin Learning Academy, we partner with families to help children thrive and develop into confident, compassionate, and capable individuals.

Our Campuses

Each campus was founded to provide Port St. Lucie families with quality of private Christian education.

PSLCA offers a Christ-centered K–8 program that emphasizes academic excellence, character development, and leadership opportunities.

Dalton Learning Academy provides a Kindergarten curriculum grounded in Biblical principles.

Dalton Learning Center provides a nurturing preschool experience for young learners.

Darwin Learning Academy offers a safe and loving preschool program for toddlers and Pre-K students.

Our Statement of Faith

At all four campuses, our programs are rooted in Christian values and Biblical principles. We believe in teaching children to love God, love others, and pursue excellence in all areas of life.

STATEMENT OF FAITH

Our foundation is built solely on the truth of God’s Word. We believe that the Bible is the inspired, infallible, and authoritative Word of God, and it is the standard by which we measure all truth.

While we recognize and respect the diversity of Christian traditions, our school does not align itself with any specific denomination or doctrinal interpretation beyond the essential truths found in Scripture.

Our focus is on nurturing a Christ-centered environment where students grow in faith, character, and knowledge, guided by Biblical principles.

WE AFFIRM THAT:

There is one true and living God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully God and fully man, who lived a sinless life, died for our sins, rose again, and offers salvation to all who believe in Him.

Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone.

The Holy Spirit dwells within every believer, empowering them to live according to God’s will.

The Bible is the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.

We desire that every student would come to know the love of God, walk in His truth, and bring glory to His name in all they do.

Wyneshia Scott

Kitchen Manager

I began my journey with Dalton as a parent, with my children enrolled in the school. Impressed by the school’s environment and mission, I became increasingly involved as a volunteer to support Dalton’s vision.

In 2021, I took on the role of Camp Coordinator, followed by a position as Kitchen Specialist in 2023. Growing up as the child of a Daycare Director, I understand the importance of creating a warm, nurturing, and safe environment where students can thrive. This is the commitment I bring to my work every day, and I am honored to be part of the Dalton community and its mission.

I have a strong commitment to working with youth, having taught for several years and served as a youth leader at my church. I am passionate about quality education and believe every student deserves the best opportunities.
